Two weeks remain until USA votes, here's our weekly update of everything punters need to know.
The third presidential debate had few surprises and was the most substantial out of the three debates, with some policy discussion actually taking place. Gun control, abortion rights and immigration were all touched upon. Given Trump struggles when talking specifics, it's no wonder that Clinton came out on top and the Democratic nominee remained at-or-below 1.25 odds to win with Sportsbet throughout the debate. The key takeaway was the billionaire's refusal to say whether he would accept the US election result. Meanwhile, allegations of improper advances towards women continue to haunt The Donald. Porn star, Jessica Drake became the 11th woman to accuse him of sexual abuse when she alleged Trump grabbed and kissed her without permission in 2006, before offering her $10,000 to come to his hotel room. The Al Smith Dinner was held just 24 hours after the debate and was hosted by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, who sat between Trump and Clinton. The Catholic fundraiser had the appearance of a comedy roast, although both candidates traded some pointed jibes. Trump really does hate Mexicans, "We have some bad hombres here and we're going to get them out". Clinton during the debate, “We need to put more money into the Social Security trust fund... My Social Security payroll contribution will go up, as will Donald’s, assuming he can’t figure out how to get out of it.” Trump couldn't help himself, interrupting “Such a nasty woman.” Trump joking about his wife's plagiarised convention speech, "I really have to say, the media is even more biased this year than ever before - ever. You want the proof? Michelle Obama gives a speech and everyone loves it, it is fantastic. They think she is absolutely great. My wife Melania gives the exact same speech, and people get on her case! And I don't get it!" Clinton citing Trump's love affair with Putin during the Al Smith Dinner, "Donald really is as healthy as a horse. You know, the one Vladimir Putin rides around." Trump when asked if he will accept the results of the elections, "I'll tell you at the time—I'll keep you in suspense, okay?" Yikes. WINNERS & LOSERS
Loser – Abraham Lincoln: Will be rolling in his grave as Trump invoked a phrase from the former president's famous 1863 Gettysburg Address during his own speech in Gettysburg. Winner – Chris Wallace: the debate moderator earned praise for his fairness, keeping the candidates on track and even doing some minor crowd control at times. Loser – Chris Christie: The Governor of New Jersey and Trump lapdog could face impeachment if evidence shows he knew about Bridgegate (i.e. closing lanes on the George Washington Bridge to spite a political rival). Then again, everyone knows Christie is a loser. Winner – Rosie O'Donnell: Trump extended an olive branch to O'Donnell at the Al Smith Dinner, given his long-running feud with the comedian. O'Donnell swiftly replied:
