William Hill Park R1 No.6 - SEPTAMORE

Was restrained and as a result fought the rider for the majority of his trip last time out here two weeks back over 1400m. Still performed very well to only go down narrowly to a promising Kiwi. Like they they've remained at the trip and with 55.5kgs after the claim from H.Coffey he should bowl along in front and prove very hard to beat.

William Hill Park R3 No.3 - MODESTY

Good race this but I really like this mare. She was exceptional at Moonee Valley when setting a good gallop on-speed before kicking clear and winning comfortably (they ran good time). She's third-up/at her peak now and the way the pattern of the track has been playing of late (tough to run on) she looks again like the winner. She'll measure up in Saturday company shortly.

William Hill Park R7 No.2 - ASIA SPIRIT

He was a very impressive winner at Kilmore off the back of a lovely trial, he stalked the speed, peeled at the turn and just put them to the sword in a stride (winners have come from this race since!). Dont mind three weeks between runs and the progression to 1400m, he'll box seat from barrier 3 and have plenty of time to wind up from the 600m. Was nommed (and looked a live chance) in a good race on a Saturday in town recently but they've elected this afternoon.

Warwick Farm R5 No.4 - ALLEZ CHIVAL

Siding with this mare who's racing in great form and the fact she's got an excellent record on soft/heavy tracks (4 from 5!). Was good two weeks ago at Canterbury making her own luck which she should again do today, that was a very hot midweek field. She'll again roll forward and only carries 56.5kgs after the claim from Taylor. She peaks for today and gets favourable conditions!

Doomben R1 No.1 - JOHNHRO

He's been good to us a couple of times this fella and think that'll again be the case this afternoon, its his first time at Doomben (really suiting on-pacers at the moment) which looks a major positive. Proven at the trip and is certainly rock-hard fit. Comes out of a slick race at the Sunshine Coast where he ran good time and both 3rd and 4th from that event have since come out and won, looks a solid form reference to suggest he can go on with it.
Johnro - 1pt @ 2.9

Makes his debut here after a sizzling trial at Belmont two weeks ago, they ran good time doing so. The blinkers went on for that spin around and they remain on as you could imagine. He has the option to jump and run them along or take a sit box seating from the favourable draw (lean to taking a sit over the 1100m). Either way I think he's got some talent and will be winning.
