William Hill Park R1 No.8 - PETRACCA

This has been one of us punters biggest foes over the last 6-12 months but i'm giving ONE MORE chance at redemption. Ignoring his odds he was actually quite good at Warrnambool over 1700m, he just peaked on his run and I really like the fact he's dropping back to the 1300m. I reckon they'll roll the dice and send him forward from gate 7 looking to be handy enough to them at the turn. If he gets some clean air he has the talent to win this, at least we're getting an each-way price to find out.

William Hill Park R3 No.8 - TONITE LADY (each-way)

She's come up big overs here considering her form reads ok, she got back on debut at Pakenham (hot maiden) and never looked comfortable and then went to Cranbourne and improved drastically when leading them throughout only to be nailed by a good one in Kaphni (finished on the heels of Vostok at his previous start). Like she gets to the mile and pattern should suit leaders early, she'll give us a run for our money.

William Hill Park R7 No.1 - CHABELLE (each-way)

Nice mare this who was very good fresh at Moonee Valley, had to work from the awkward draw but really stuck on gamely. She'll strip fitter for the effort and that fact she comes back to her own sex/against a pretty average bunch, I think she could be mighty hard to beat. Would love to see her roll along on-speed and kick clear with 300m to go.

Canterbury R3 No.12 - TSARITSA

She should have won on debut this filly but was given a very poor steer, J.Collett goes on which is a major positive and Chris Waller-trained gallopers are notorious improvers second-up. Drawing out a touch might not be an issue as she looks like a horse who needs clean air. This is a very similar field she encountered two weeks ago, with even luck she'll win this.

Strathalbyn R2 No.8 - FIRSTEE

Filly was quite good on debut at Morphettville two weeks ago when she settled towards the rear of the field and managed to make good ground late. Leaders dominated the race (first two round the bend crossed the line accordingly) which gives plenty of merit to the performance. Would like to see her settle a touch closer with the step up in trip a real key to her winning chances. With a day at the races under her belt she can beat these.
