It promises to be a bury Wednesday as Tom Gilmore has six selections.
William Hill Park R1 No.1 - MISS SOFTHANDS
Lightly raced mare who has plenty of talent, was excellent fresh when deep/on-speed at Sale before straightening and really putting them away. Her splits to the line were excellent and she looked to have a bit in hand. Like that Little has spaced her second-up run as she appears to go well with this pattern. Should sit in the box seat and be a touch too good.
Miss Softhands - 2pts @ 2.15
William Hill Park R3 No.6 - KIFAAH
Chased strongly in on-speed dominated race here two weeks ago over the 1400m, they ran 2-3 lengths quicker time overall than the BM64 later in the day which says the race rated well! Looks like the mile will suit him down to the ground and this doesnt look an overly deep race, backing him to breakthrough here.
Kifaah - 2pts @ 2.25
William Hill Park R4 No.4 - BROADWAY AND FIRST
The D.Weir stable are absolutely lethal when a city-class galloper gets the blinkers applied for the first time, its just been a recipe for success. Has chased Vostok in his past two starts (Group-class 3yo) and he drops 200m to the 1400m today. They'll be positive from the wide draw and look to run them along. He's rock-hard fit and should spark nicely this afternoon.
Broadway And First - 1pt @ 3.8
Warwick Farm R3 No.6 - TSARITSA
It's fair to say she should have won both her starts to date, another disaster a week ago at Canterbury when she was just never within striking distance but still managed to work home nicely (yes to the 1400m and away from Canterbury!). Drawn for more of a suck trail into the race here from gate 2 and fancy the stable wouldnt run her if she couldnt handle the sting out of the track. Convinced she'll make a nice horse in time and will win today.
Tsaritsa - 1pt @ 2.7
Doomben R7 No.4 - BULLITT COUNTY
Bottomless track up in QLD so reckon this fella with that in mind has come up a shade of overs, he was a very impressive all the way winner at Ipswich two weeks ago on a soft track (runner-up has since come out and run well again). He does rise in grade but drops 1kg at the weights and again looks the leader on paper, he's at his peak for this afternoon!
Bullit County - 0.5pts e/w @ 12.0
Ascot R1 No.1 - PUCK SHAPESHIFTER
Been up for some time but I thought his recent effort when leading at Ascot two weeks ago over 1100m was excellent, he was beaten by the highly talented Scales Of Justice (who just missed to the Group quality Vega Magic recently) which is no knock. Dropping back to the 1000m and to a race without much depth, he should jump straight to the front and be far too tough to run down.
Puck Shapeshifter - 1pt @ 3.2
