She's been progressing well this campaign without winning, was quite good two starts back at Sandown in an ok race behind a winner who is genuinely city class. Then went to Wangaratta and was good jumping 1600m to 2000m but just no match for one better. Fitness peaks and this is a mighty poor race, should be winning

Echuca R4 No.9 - ROCHIE ROSIE

Only beaten by a heavily backed local when fresh two weeks ago over the 1170m, was good coming from an awkward position midrace hitting the line well - splits were good and gave every indication that stripping fitter/extra trip would be her go second-up. Gets the blinkers on too so I assume she'll be more prominent in running and look to take luck out of the equation.

Moonee Valley R1 No.3 - MOSTERT

Was good when getting to the mile for the first time at Sandown, led them up but was a bit of a sitting duck for a G1 competitive mare who went straight on by. Around a tight track like the valley will suit his racing style and he gets the in form M.Zahra taking the ride. His Popovich form from earlier in this prep will have him winning tonight.
Mostert - 1pt @ 2.8

Moonee Valley R3 No.8 - BOLD RUNNER (each-way)

Gee he was good here two weeks ago over a mile in a pretty slick race, gets a 1kg swing on a key rival and has the blinkers on for the first time tonight. Should be much handier to the leaders from the good draw and with J.Noonan going on he will give a big sight at a genuine each-way quote.
Bold Runner - 0.5pts e/w @ 15.0

Canterbury R1 No.4 - PICO TURQUINO

Performed better than what the eye let on at Randwick two weeks ago, closed well off a soft early tempo and was never really a winning chance as a result. Speed looks a bit more genuine here this evening and with James McDonald booked to ride this is her best chance yet to break the shackles. Absolutely flew fresh at Kembla Grange in December and was a cert beat, has found trouble since but tonight she can bounce back.
Pico Turquino - 1pt @ 4.0
