It's a huge day of racing action and Tom Gilmore is on hand with the best bets.
Caulfield R1 No.9 - ABBASSO
Love the way he's progressed this campaign and third-up/mile he'll be close to his peak. Gets in on the minimum weights and has been competitive around the likes of The United States and Onpicalo at the mile. Will have the soft run in transit and should be hitting the line strongly.
Abbasso - 1pt @ 5.0
Caulfield R6 No.1 - MAHUTA
This is a cracking horse, his win in a $1,000,000 Magic Millions race was nothing short of exceptional, was the first time going clockwise way of going which gave even more merit to the performance. Fit and given time to freshen back to Melbourne, he'll be winning. Beaten the highly rated Holler last time at 1400m.
Mahuta - 1pt @ 3.1
Caulfield R7 No.7 - TURN ME LOOSE
G1 winner who's been in superb form of late, his spring campaign culminated in a G1 Emirates Stakes win, which was ultra impressive. They ran along at a genuine tempo and he managed to sustain it (like a good horse!) to hold them all off. Recently trialled up in NZ and looked magnificent doing so, if pattern suits he'll be mighty hard to beat.
Turn Me Loose - 1pt @ 4.6
Randwick R1 No.1 - PRIZED ICON
Like this colt, thought he was very good on a bog track here three weeks ago when only going down narrowly. The winner is a sharp galloper and the runner-up since won a very big Inglis bonus race (form standing up). Second-up and to 1100m will suit this fella down to the ground.
Prized Icon - 1pt @ 2.35
Randwick R5 No.5 - RICH ENUFF
First run for the Snowdens this weekend and off the back of his recent trial at Randwick he'll be pretty hard to beat. Was a boom 3yo who won for fun, his performances at Moonee Valley and Caulfield were in near track record time and he was pestered mad in the Guineas when only going down half a length to winner with a soft run.
Rich Enuff - 1pt @ 3.4
Doomben R5 No.7 - KATYS SON
His win first-up was very good, box-seated and put them away over 1000m when asked to extend. Did it in comfortable style and with that in mind he strips fitter and will be mighty hard to hold out. Carries 56kgs after the claim from Orman and he'll again be right there at the bend. Those behind him fresh have since again run well!
Katys Son - 1pt @ 2.9
