Warrnambool R2 No.3 - KINGLAMI

A real swimmer and love the sense of timing second-up/improving. Typically targeted at this being trained locally, with that in mind his run fresh was ok - just one-batted and held his ground midfield over a very unsuitable trip. Reached a career peak from a ratings point of view over 1700m here last December, only finished a length off the genuine city-class Zandarral. Drawn out will suit as he'll find the best part of the track and he with that in mind he looks mighty hard to beat. No superstars in this.

Warrnambool R4 No.11 - TORELLI

Reckon he's a really smart colt this. Was outstanding here on debut six weeks ago chasing hard against (did alot wrong!) the pattern before going to Geelong and running into a rock-hard fit, low flying Blacktein (form around good ones). Blinkers go on for the first time today which will no doubt straighten him up and steps up in trip, which he pedigree would indicate is a major positive. Fancy he's a genuine Saturday horse in the making and he will be winning today.

Warrnambool R5 No.3 - JUST GOT LUCKY

Thought he went well in a good race at Caulfield when three weeks between runs (prior to that he'd had a seven week let-up), jumped well but had to settle in somewhat of a cluster. As he looked to improve rounding into the straight he copped a squeeze and was just crowded for room. He managed to run through the line holding his ground well and gave the impression he'd certainly improve. Home track with the juice out of the surface wont be an issue and he's drawn wide (better going), fancy 1400m will be right up his alley.

Warrnambool R9 No.12 - EYES OF LOVE

Think she grows a leg when she gets onto a surface with plenty of give in it, and thats exactly what she gets this afternoon. Thought her win at Werribee over the mile three weeks ago was quite good, they didn't go overly hard in front and she did a bit wrong but still managed to be far too good for them. Has only seen a bottomless track on one occasion and that was late in January of this year, she completely dominated on speed and she may get the chance to do so yet again. Query inside draw but it should be somewhat levelled out by the fact she can dictate from the front.

Warwick Farm R5 No.7 - CLEAR RIPPLES

A horse that looks very much ready to hit her top getting to the 1400m at this point of her preparation, has built nicely in both runs since trialling well at Randwick on a heavy track behind a few smart ones. Recent effort saw her only a length off Sort After (since go to town in $85,000 race and run superbly) which is a solid reference for a race of this nature. Not concerned by the wide draw as she is tractable, Clark should have plenty of time to sum up the situation upon jumping.

Sunshine Coast R4 No.1 - MAJOR APPROVAL

Went hard on-speed two weeks ago at Ipswich when dropping to the 1350m from the 1666m. Race panned out nicely for a smart swooper who gobbled them up. This fella was the best of the leading bunch and he did manage to stick on gamely with that in mind. Good little pull at the weights v. some key rivals who follow the same formlines and he should find a much more comfortable time of it finding the lead.

Murray Bridge R1 No.6 - SASSY JO

Didn't finish far away from a handy midweeker on debut at Cranbourne in March earlier this year, then got too far out of her ground at Corowa but did find the line well. I reckon they'll really look to rev her up early and with absolutely no weight on her back/fresh, she can run a very cheeky race at a big price. A few of these have had plenty of chances so somewhat of an upset result like this wouldn't shock me, and at the odds I'm happy to find out.
