Ballarat R3 No.1 - WORSHIP THE BLADE

Made really good ground late on debut at Echuca over the 1400m, came into that off one soft trial at Cranbourne over the 1000m so you'd have to anticipate plenty of natural improvement. Might be able to take closer order from the friendly marble and clearly getting to a mile won't be an issue. Showed she seemed to be at home on a heavy track (important today!) and as a result she looks the horse on the up against an average lot.

Ballarat R4 No.4 - SWISS KISS

Nice horse! Won well in a hot maiden (dead-heated with a good one!) at Bendigo two weeks ago fresh over the 1000m, think she's certainly a better horse over the 1200m. Second-up/1200m in her debut prep she won a slick race at Yarra Valley and beat subsequent winners, will clearly be better for that run first-up and does get the PR on the map. Nice filly on the up.

Ballarat R5 No.8 - MY SANCTUARY

Reckon this horse will be incredibly hard to beat - won well at Echuca on a bottomless track over the 1400m two weeks ago, she's got some upside and last time at the trip just missed to Transfer Allowance (2 lengths off them in G3 Easter Cup), that sort of form is certainly good enough to win this and she does go well with the cut out of the surface. Early tempo looks ok so she should be every chance to hit the line of the top.
My Sanctuary - 1pt @ 3.80

Trialled exceptionally at Avoca two weeks ago and looks the class-runner of this lot, he's been competitive with much better opposition than this and interesting to see the blinkers come off for the first time in order to get him to settle and finish off. Draws well and really should be too good, even though 1200m is probably a touch short of his pet trip.

Albury R1 No.1 - CENTAURO

Right horse to win this maiden this fella, we find a very boggy/heavy track and he showed prior to his debut back in February that he could clearly get through the going - won a trial over 900m but a dominant 9.3 lengths basically untouched - haven't seen him jump-out this time in but I have no doubt fresh over the short course he'll go straight to the front and be too slick.
