Best: Ballarat R7 No.1 - EASTERN PEAK
Win on a bog track at Swan Hill two weeks ago was very good in better company than this, critically got through the conditions nicely (won by 4 lengths eased down) and again strikes a similar race (heavy track) today. Maps for the PR of the race and think the highweight handicap suits him. He'll be far too strong over the top of them late.

Roughie: Taree R2 No.4 - FREEZAM
Return to racing over 900m at Cessnock three weeks ago was ok, he seemed to be a touch out-sped early and as a result we see the blinkers go on this afternoon. Think he maps well from the wide draw (will roll forward) and should certainly appreciate the progression to 1000m. If he can cross and find the front, pattern should make it very difficult for those making ground (leaders early!).

Taree R5 No.9 - EYEZOFF
Won track/trip here four weeks ago (maiden grade) and seems to strike a very winnable race again despite technically stepping up in grade. Drops 3kgs at the weights for that win and maps for the absolute PR in transit, if Buckley can get him to settle mid-race and look to improve from the 400m - should take plenty of beating.
Eyezoff - 1pt @ 3.40
Sunshine Coast R1 No.1 - HOTEL COSTE
Made terrific ground fresh on the Gold Coast over 900m before making the jump to 1200m second-up (big leap!) in town. Just found them a touch too slick (forced to make ground v.pattern). Like him back to this sort of grade/1000m. Think they'll look to be much handier in transit from the inside marble, keen he can pounce on fav who'll be vulnerable late.
