Nice filly who's competed with some elite-level gallopers in her first-two race preparations. Fresh at Randwick over 1200m back on February she just missed in a $250,000 race, then went to Flemington and was good down the straight (worst part of the going) before making a trip back to Randwick and hitting the line nicely off an average tempo. Expect with time she's matured physically and her two trials for this resumption have both been v. good, she swims through the soft going and should just be a bit too good.

Echuca R2 No.15 - HAVRAN Was heavily backed ($1.50 into $1.35) on debut at Mildura back in May over the 1000m before it all went awry, bit went through the colts mouth and he just pulled himself to the outside fence mid-race before easing out of the contest. Suggest he's got some serious ability (Weir stable money usually spot on) and with a few gear changes for this resumption suggest he could take a power of beating. Taking on trust he's a more mature horse but expect from the outside ally they'll roll forward and look to take luck out if it.

Best Bet: Echuca R6 No.8 - FLYING BATYA Nice filly on the up this who's run good ratings in her four career starts to date, latest effort at Wodonga three weeks ago was very good when making the running on-speed, just run down late (probably inferior ground) so reckon there was plenty of merit to the effort. Interesting the blinkers are applied for the first-time (big tick!) and she draws to cross/lead them quite comfortably. Rail true/bog track pattern should favour those hard on the fence, ready for 1200m too!

Warwick Farm R1 No.4 - MEINER FRECCIA Was easy in betting fresh off the one trial when winning at Hawkesbury over the 1300m two weeks ago. Came from last on the home turn to run over the top of them with relative ease (1300m far from suitable). Second-up/mile clearly looks a winning recipe and with the way he returned on that day he's in for a super prep. Like the draw (rails in running at Warwick Farm), if he can peel off heels at the 400m he'll be mowing them down late.
Meiner Freccia - 1pt @ 3.0

Best Roughie: Warwick Farm R6 No.4 - AEGEAN SEA Win at Warwick Farm three weeks ago fresh over the 1000m was terrific, they went quite hard on-speed and he probably had every right to knock up late more than he did but managed to stick on and get it done. Fancy he takes good benefit from that and like he draws out/fitter/sticking at 1000m. Should cross to find the fence (should favour leaders) and with that in mind he could pinch a few lengths at the bend and take catching, good EW quote.
Aegean Sea - 1pt @ 8.5

Next Best: Eagle Farm R1 No.6 - SORNJA Like the way she closed in a good race at the Sunshine Coast on debut two weeks ago, winner (who's smart) sat in the box seat and had every favour while runner-up (also a nice type!) sprinted well cutting the corner from the rear of the field. She was the only other horse to make ground in the race and looks all the better for the day out. Reckon they might look to take a closer sit and as of late they've been making ground off the fence here at the Farm. Suggest three pairs back/strong home in 'A' ground.
Sornja - 1pt @ 4.4
