The Broncos are not playing well at all and I think they are very short. I am tipping the Storm at the good odds of $2.55 (LuxBet). The Broncos welcome back Alex Glenn and Andrew McCullough which are decent additions, especially as the halves seem to play so much better with McCullough’s presence. However the Storm were brutal early on against the Tigers last week and with their big guns in Smith and Cronk, they have the firepower to pile more misery on the Broncos.

The Storm have been playing exceptionally well in recent times and I just have to side with them at the great value odds against. The Storm won’t romp away with this match, so have a very good look at the Storm 1-12 ($4 William Hill) here which is a brilliant price. I will be on.

The Storm often score tries around the fringes of the ruck so my tip for First Try Scorer this week is Kevin Proctor $29 LuxBet). That mop is unmissable and hopefully it flops over the line first to have us celebrating.
Storm - 1pt @ 2.55
Storm 1-12 - 1pt @ 4.00
Proctor First TS - 1pt @ 29.00

NZ WARRIORS vs GOLD COAST TITANS (Saturday 2nd July 3pm)

The Warriors are hitting their straps and last week landed the dosh for us with the start, but this week I am going to side with the value here, and am tipping an upset – get on the Titans ($3.70). They were a bit flat against the Raiders last week and there were some mitigating circumstances in the game like the loose ball that gifted Lee 90m run to the line, Greg Bird had an unhappy day ending up in the bin and all in all the Raiders had a mountain of ball and only won by 8 points.

The Warriors are still blowing up about the penalty try from last week’s clash against the Sharks, and these are the kinds of matches the Warriors lose. So we are on Titans straight out but the absolute stand out bet in this game is Total Points Over/ Under. Take the Over 46.5 ($2 Ladbrokes). Absolute moral. Forecast is for a dry track in Auckland, both teams can score points and leak points. This game has Overs written all over it. Cheer the points people!

As for First Try Scorer – I am siding with a Titan as I expect them to begin quickly, young Ash Taylor ($26 Sportsbet) to dot down first across the Tasman in what will be an avalanche of points and an entertaining affair.
Titans - 1pt @ 3.70
Over 46.5 points - 1pt @ 2.00
Taylor First TS - 1pt @ 26.00

WESTS TIGERS vs PENRITH PANTHERS (Saturday 2nd July 5.30pm)

This is going to be a good game and on face value, with two free-scoring teams, it has overs written all over it. The Panthers have a habit of scoring back-to-back tries quickly, whilst the Tigers backline packs some real punch and throw it around. First punt for the match is get on the Total Points Over 45.5 ($1.88 Ladbrokes) for the game. There will be boatloads.

I will then back that up by tipping the Panthers ($1.79 UNIBET), I have sided with them all season and they really need to keep stringing wins together and have a great opportunity to do so here. Whilst they let Souths back into the game last week, they had it parcelled up early doors. The Tigers were blown off the park early by the Storm, but staged a remarkable fightback with their two classy halves leading the way as was Tedesco – who should get a look in for Origin 3.

There is a young bloke who has set the pundits tongues wagging in recent weeks in Nathan Cleary. Boy can this kid play. To think he has only played 3 First Grade games is remarkable. He will be State Of Origin half in a couple of years. He is only 18, but he has plenty of first grade in front of him. He is a pure footballer. He has great poise and balance, good kicking game, unflappable. A player of the future. I am tipping him to score first ($26 William Hill) against the tigers.
Over 45.5 Points - 1pt @ 1.88
Panthers - 1pt @ 1.79
Cleary First TS - 1pt @ 26.00

CRONULLA SHARKS vs PARRAMATTA EELS (Saturday 2nd July 7.30pm)

The Sharkies are on one heck of a winning streak and I am tipping them to get the record this weekend. They take on a Parramatta side, where the stench of drama seems to linger like a bad smell, this week’s edition of Western Controversy sees Foran in strife and Semi Radradra somewhere in the South Pacific instead of at training. Therefore it is impossible to side with them here as all this drama has to affect them eventually.

The Sharks are at home against a team in turmoil off the park, the only way to go here is the Sharks 13+ ($2.20 Bet365). I think they might explode here given they have had some tight ones recently. We can take the Half-Full double as well the Sharks ($1.75 Bet365). It will be go to whoa with them.

First Try Scorer – the lad has electric feet and will be getting plenty of opportunity to use them so have something on Ben Barba ($11.50 LuxBet) to get the ball rolling for the Sharks in what will be a record breaking victory.
Sharks 13+ - 1pt @ 2.20
Sharks / Sharks - 1pt @ 1.75
Barba First TS - 1pt @ 11.50

Let’s cut to the chase: Get on the Total Points Over 52.5 ($1.90 Sportsbet) here. Just get on. The poor old Knights can’t take a trick but they can still score some points and Canberra are potent with ball in hand, it has overs written all over it in this game. Canberra are unbackable straight out, you would still think they would give the Knights a good beating because they just are not good enough, even the Raiders 13+ is short odds, so the play is definitely points.

First Try Scorer – I am going for Blake Austin ($12 Sportsbet. He has been stung by injury and hasn’t really hit his straps this season but I can see him throwing a big dummy and going straight through to score early doors against a weak Knights outfit.
Total Points over 38.5 - 1pt @ 2.00
Austin First TS - 1pt @ 12.00

The Rabbits were much improved against Penrith last week and showed some real determination in staging a strong fightback late in the game, to go down by 2 points. The Cowboys played in an equally entertaining affair against the Sea Eagles, they shot out to a big lead only to see Manly fight back, before as so often they do, the Cowboys found the lead late in the game and were too strong.

The Cowboys are like the Sharkies in that they just find ways to win. It is a great match-up seeing Thurston take on his QLD team mate Inglis, who is getting back to his best form. The Manly forwards made some inroads up the middle on Monday night, maybe Souths big boppers could do the same. Class will prevail in the end, and I expect North Queensland ($1.37 Palmerbet) to come out on top in a tight affair. The real value looks the Cowboys 1-12 ($3.25 Bet365) and for First Try Scorer, we are looking to the fringes of the Cowboys attack, Thurston loves creating space out wide and I expect Kyle Feldt ($8.50 Sportsbet) to take full advantage.
Cowboys - 1pt @ 1.37
Cowboys 1-12 - 1pt @ 3.25
Feldt First TS - 1pt @ 8.50

Monday night was the most committed and gutsy performance by the Sea Eagles for many a week against North QLD. The reigning premiers slipped out to a decent lead early, but Manly came storming back to take the front. Only some Thurston brilliance saw the Cowboys build on their imposing record in Townsville, but Manly were very impressive at times. I am tipping Manly ($1.67 Sportsbet) this week with a full 7 days rest and the move back to Brookie, and I expect them to give their fans something to cheer about by covering the -3.5 line as well ($1.91 Sportsbet). It will be a good night for the Sea Eagles.

This tall lanky kid from the northern beaches in the shape of Tom Trbojevic is a superstar in the making, and I believe he will have the Manly faithful cheering as he scores the first try ($11 Sportsbet) of the game. Eagles too good on Monday night.
Manly - 1pt @ 1.67
Manly -3.5 - 1pt @ 1.91
T. Trbojevic First tS - 1pt @ 11.00
