The final game of the round and both teams will be desperate to secure the points for different reasons.

Perth blew the Mariners off the park early before squandering a 3-nil lead to eventually finish at 3-3. No doubt Kenny Lowe was disappointed and pointed to the fact his team probably switched off which allowed Central Coast to get that vital first goal and then the momentum to get back into the match.

Wellington were brave against City and after looking good in patches, certainly had their chances to score but couldn’t find the back of the net. Roy Krishna created several half chances but couldn’t deliver the final pass to someone in the box to put them away.

They will be boosted this week with the return of their gun players from international duty, namely Kosta Barbarouses and Gui Finkler. Automatically they will be a far greater attacking threat so the Perth defence will have to watch out.

The Glory looked like worldbeaters in that first half last week with Taggart bagging a double and Castro netting another. Andy Keogh could have scored a hat-trick too but ended up with nothing – he won’t go scoreless again this week I don’t think.

Confidence is everything in sport and no doubt Perth’s will have been knocked about after last week’s collapse, however, I am tipping them as a top four team and if they are to realise that then they have to make their home games count.

Wellington can score goals too and that is one of the reasons I like to watch them play. They also travel far better these days than they previously did.

Much can be made of travel for teams but for Wellington this is a huge trip from New Zealand. I remember as a player that travelling was a bit hit and miss as one week you would feel fantastic and the next time, despite getting to a destination a little early, you would feel deflated. It’s just the way it is.

TIP: I am tipping Perth here on the basis that they’ve been at home for a fortnight and haven’t had to go anywhere. Wellington will be a force though as their players return from internationals but will the extra flying for them over the last few weeks take its toll?

TIP 2: Go for both teams to get on the scoresheet.
Perth - 1pt @ 1.63
Both teams to score - 1pt @ 1.57
